Hi, my name is Krista, aka Miss Cody, and I am a virtual student success specialist servicing students kindergarten through seventh grade across the nation. Freedom matters to me because freedom is having the opportunity to choose what you do with your one extraordinary life.

As an educator, I believe one of the greatest gifts we can give to our students is an education that teaches them how to create opportunities of freedom for themselves. Every book that we read, every problem that we solve, and every new skill we practice builds knowledge, confidence, resilience, and a practiced work ethic. With every one of these investments, we create more opportunity and we create more freedom because opportunity creates choice and choice creates freedom.

In my classroom, every student is an individual with their own dreams, passions, strengths, and ways of learning that are unique to them. So my goal is to help them build the skills and self-belief to know that they can learn, grow, and pursue the opportunities that set their hearts on fire.

Education shows our students just how big their world can be. And my greatest hope is that they grow up with the knowledge, the confidence, and resilience to create opportunities for themselves and the freedom to build a life that they truly love.

Because education opens doors. And even more powerfully, education teaches us how to build doors of our own.
