Liberty Ventures is a VC firm whose strategy to get the greatest ROI is to support founders who believe in the principles of capitalism and liberty. This initially began from my experience in the nonprofit space, starting and growing a network called Students for Liberty and then running the founder of Whole Foods, John Mackey's nonprofit, Conscious Capitalism.

But after researching how many unicorn founders of the last 10 years have shared our commitment to the principles of liberty and those who didn't, I found that there is a strong correlation with sharing these values and having outsized returns. I've also seen as we built this venture firm up the opportunity for us to build connections for portfolio companies with other investors, with partners, with clients, even exit opportunities based on those shared values.

And the ultimate goal of building impactful companies is to not only make money to get a strong return, which of course is our first goal, but to also be able to do great things in the world beyond individual investments with people who are sharing our vision of what the world should look like and are going to work beyond that individual deal on advancing a freer, more prosperous future.
