Aaron Young

My name is Aaron Young, Chairman and CEO of Laughlin Associates. For more than 30 years, I've had the privilege of building dozens of businesses in the United States. And the longer I do this, the more convinced I become that there is no greater place on earth to be an entrepreneur.

America has always been a nation of builders. People with an idea, a dream and a willingness to work have been able to create opportunities for these people, not just for themselves, but for their families, for their employees and their communities. I've had the honor of watching tens of thousands of business owners do exactly that. They chose responsibility over excuses. They created value where none existed before. And in the process, they built lives of greater freedom and purpose for themselves.

And that's what I love about owning a business in America. It isn't simply a chance to earn a living. It's the opportunity to build a legacy.

At Laughlin Associates, we've spent over 50 years helping entrepreneurs protect and strengthen what they are building. And through my Unshackled program, my passion is helping owners create a business that works harder for them than they have to work for it.

And so now as we celebrate America's 250th birthday, I'm grateful that the entrepreneurial spirit which helped build our great nation is still alive. And I believe it remains one of our greatest gifts to the next generation.
